Fraserside provides housing, employment, and social supports for 900 people facing homelessness, living in poverty, suffering from chronic mental illness, substance use issues, and people living with disabilities each year. Community Ventures Society has served individuals and families across the Tri-Cities for over 40 years. By donating to their Christmas campaign, 100% of your gift goes directly into providing a special Christmas for families of children with developmental disabilities in their program. They provide children and families with all they need to have a special Christmas. The last couple of years have been extremely tough for families in this program and they want to make this time of year as special as possible. Since 1966, Variety – the Children’s Charity has been making a difference in the lives of children with special needs across the province. With the average individual grant being $2500, Variety is urgently seeking more funding in their five core areas: lifesaving medical supplies, mobility equipment, specialized therapies, mental wellness counseling, and educational support.

Change can only happen when people are empowered to improve their lives and their community. By providing a voice, resources, and opportunities to people who need support, Burnaby Community Services is helping families and seniors break the cycles of poverty and isolation.

Serving the second fastest growing community within the Fraser Health Authority, the Little Hospital with the Big Heart, Eagle Ridge Hospital has vast reach and impact serving over 50,000 medical emergencies, 600,000 lab tests, and 6,000 surgeries annually.

Amandas Legacy is a non-profit society that focuses on awareness and the well-being of individuals (all ages).  They have a strong focus on prevention and awareness related to bullying and cyberbullying, online safety and exploitation/sextortion. As well, resources and education encouraging positivity, mental health and wellness and digital safety are shared on our website.
